Wedding Day.

A few weeks ago I had the privilege of shooting photos for Missy and Eric Norcross's wedding here in Reno.

It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon up at Rancho San Rafael and this couple couldn't have had been more in love with each other. They were so much fun to work with and I think their happiness really shows through in their wedding photos.

So I'd like to say congratulations to Eric and Missy, you two were great and I'm very happy for both of you.

Three Bad Jacks and The Rocketz.

Last night I went the The Alley in Sparks for the second time for a Rockabilly show. Leroy and The Loaded dice started the show playing some great Country classics and originals as well.

Then the Rocketz played more of a Punk/Psychobilly set which was amazing. They playing really well and really impressed me.

Third in the lineup was the Three Bad Jacks. These guys were great, good Rockabilly with a few great covers. They covered Ace of Spades and that was hands down the best cover of that show I've ever heard.

So below are some of the photos I took last night. Enjoy and feedback is always appreciated.

Firestorm

On Thursday night I went to see Earth Crisis, Wolf City and Thick As Blood at the recently opened venue The Alley in Sparks. Earlier that day my friend Jose from Sacramento posted a video of the first time I saw Earth Crisis back in 1995.

It's crazy that 15 years later they were playing Reno again and even crazier than that was the fact that the same group of friends that were with me in 1995 were there on Thursday with me again.

This was such a fun show and it was great to see so many old friends again. Old man HxC was in full effect. Below are some photos I took, let me know what you think.

Family Photos

Family photos are something I have been wanting to get into and my good friends Jason and Linda Glines gave me that opportunity last Sunday afternoon.

I met Jason, Linda and their puppies at the Hidden Valley dog park to take some family photos. The dogs did a great job sitting for the photos and Jason and Linda didn't do too bad themselves.

Let me know what you think, and If your interested in shooting some family photos in this nice spring weather just let me know.

Fun in the sun!

Last weekend my friend Gracie and I took advantage of the nice weather. She had been wanting some photos taken of her son Blake for his 5th birthday so we decided to meet up at a local park on a sunny Saturday afternoon and I took some photos of Blake playing in the playground.

He's an awesome kid and I was happy to capture him having such a good time at the park.

Below are some of the images I took that day.

Not So Wicked Witch...

A few weeks ago I was able to work with a new model named Kim Coquette. She came to me with the idea of doing a pin up shoot with her dressed up as a witch. For those of you who know me know that that anything Halloween inspired is right up my alley.

The shoot went great other than the fog machine I had didn't feel like working. Kim and I are already planning our next shoot, but if any of you photographers out there are looking for a very professional and awesome model please look Kim up.

Check out the photos below and let me know what you think.

Hello Cupcake!

Last Saturday I did another shoot with the lovely Mrs. Linda Glines. This time we went with a cupcake theme. We have been talking about doing this shoot for a long time and we finally got the opportunity to do it.

So Mrs. Glines baked up a few dozen tasty red velvet cupcakes and these are the images that we came up with.

I hope you like the new photos and please look out for many more shoots coming up here soon.

Death has never looked so good...

Last night I did a photo shoot with my good friend Linda Glines. We have been working together a lot lately and we've been producing some pretty great photos. She does an amazing job on her hair and makeup which makes my job that much easier.

We came up with the idea of using her husband’s antique scythe to try and create some sexy / scary grim reaper inspired photos.

Here's what we created, like the title says I don’t think death has ever looked so good.

“Don't Drink 8-Ball, Cuz St. Ides' Is Givin' Ends…”

I took this photo several months ago, but I figured I'd post it here just because it makes me laugh every time I see it.

Basically I wanted to do a product shoot for a while now, and I figured what better product to shoot than a fine 40oz. bottle of malt liquor. So here is what I came up with, Ice Cube would be proud...

Kitschy Kitschy Cool

I did a photo shoot for Kitschy Kitschy Cool a few weeks ago with Pin-Up model Pheenix Van Sparks. The shoot was for an ad that will be featured in the program for the Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend in April 2010.

Brooke Peterson designed the ad and did an amazing job. Below is the final design, I think it came out great. Let me know what you think.

It was a pleasure working with both Lesley and Pheenix and hopefully we'll be able to work together again soon.

A day full of photos

So yesterday I had the pleasure of working with two great models on two different photo shoots.

The first shoot was with Pin-Up model Pheenix Van Sparks. This shoot was for Lesley at kitschykitschycool.com. One of the photos from this shoot is being featured in the program at the Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend in April 2010.

Here are some of the photos taken yesterday. Please check out Lesley's store at kitschykitschycool.com and if any of you ladies out there would like to learn how to become a Pin-Up model please check out Pheenix's Pin-Up Workshop at www.myspace.com/pinupworkshop.

The second shoot of the day was with my good friend Linda Glines.

Last week when I was getting my hair cut by Linda we were talking about some different ideas for photo shoots we would like to do, so last night we decided to take some photos at her casa.

Here are a few that we took, Oh and if you noticed that Linda's hair in amazing then you should go see her at Salon Glow and let her make your hair amazing too.

So until next time.
